Leeboy Kountry Kitchen is more than just a restaurant, it’s a legacy built with love, family, and purpose.

Leeboy Kountry Kitchen was founded in honor of Henry “Leeboy” Higgins, beloved son of owners Henry and Denise Higgins. After the heartbreaking loss of their son, Henry and Denise chose to turn their grief into something meaningful a place where love could still be shared through the one thing Leeboy cherished most: his momma’s cooking.

Leeboy absolutely loved Denise’s home-cooked meals, and what started as a way to share the comfort and joy he experienced around the table became the vision behind Leeboy Kountry Kitchen. As a proud Black-owned restaurant, we are rooted in family, faith, resilience, and authentic Southern comfort food made with love.

Every plate served tells a story of perseverance, healing, and honoring a legacy that will never be forgotten. Through hard work, dedication, and the support of our community, what began as a small dream has grown into something truly special and this is only the beginning.

Our mission is bigger than food. We hope to continue growing beyond what we ever imagined, sharing Leeboy’s name, his story, and his spirit with every customer who walks through our doors.

At Leeboy Kountry Kitchen, cooking has always been a way of life. While our experience started in the heart of our home kitchen, anyone who knows our family knows that Denise “Tina” Higgins is THE cook bringing generations of flavor, love, and soulful cooking to every meal. Right beside her is Henry Higgins, her trusted sous chef, helping with everything from frying to grilling and making sure every dish is prepared with care.

Before opening Leeboy Kountry Kitchen, we spent years in the catering business, serving family gatherings, events, celebrations, and special occasions throughout the community. Those years gave us the opportunity to share our homemade Southern flavors with others and allowed people to truly experience the comfort, warmth, and soul behind our cooking.

Our food is built on real recipes, real flavor, and real love the kind of meals that bring people together and feel like home. From our kitchen to your table, we’re proud to serve the same soulful cooking that family and friends have enjoyed for years.

At Leeboy Kountry Kitchen, our menu is more than food every name tells a story.

Many of our menu items are uniquely named in honor of beloved family members Denise has lost, including her parents, siblings, and son. Each dish represents something special often inspired by their favorite meals or the foods Denise lovingly prepared for them. In every bite, there is remembrance, love, and family tradition.

Our menu was built around the dishes that have brought our family comfort and joy for generations. The sides you see are not just ordinary sides  they are Denise’s signature specialties, made the same way family and friends have always loved them.

If you know Denise “Tina,” then you already know about her famous mac and cheese rich, creamy, loaded with EXTRA cheese, and made with the kind of flavor that keeps people coming back for more.

And then there’s our beloved “Penny’s Sweet Cornbread,” a recipe filled with love and family history. Passed down from Denise’s late sister-in-love, Patsy, to her daughter Serenity, this cornbread recipe has become a treasured tradition. Sweet, buttery, and soft enough to practically melt in your mouth, it’s the perfect taste of home and one of our family’s proudest staples.
